We recently started on the Farnsworth genealogy. I recently had a chance to research the Farnsworth surname when I attended the National Genealogical Society conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. My 1st attempt at researching this side of the family paid off. I located the name of my grandmother and father in the Farnsworth Memorial II Second Edition of the Farnsworth Memorial Revised in 1974 by R. Glen Nye.

There are several items to note about this genealogy:

  • published in 1897 and revised in 1974.
  •  the genealogy has been imported from a gedcom file I obtained from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • I started to source the genealogy by using the census. The census provides a snap shot of the family. I sourced the family back to to David Farnsworth. The census is a great start however it is not enough I will provide other sources to validate the family relationships.I will confirm my sources by placing a asterisk at the end of the source.

The following people and their families will be sourced to prove my genealogy:

* 10th generation - Marcy Mae Ross 1910 - my grandmother.
* 9th generation - Alam Edith Farnsworth 1889 - I met my great grandmother.
* 8th generation - Melanchion Farnsworth 1856
* 7th generation - Howard Farnsworth 1831
* 6th generation - David Farnsworth 1809
* 5th generation - Robert Farnsworth 1773
* 4th generation - Adonijah Farnsworth 1743
* 3rd generation - John Farnsworth 1710
* 2nd generation - Thomas Henry Farnsworth 1691
* 1st generation - Thomas Farnsworth 1647

 We welcome any inquiries and feedback from you.
